Here at Sass & Belle we are ever increasing our product offering to appeal to the environmentally conscious consumer. Below is a few ways in which we have looked at alternative materials.

  • Being one of our most-loved product types, it was very important for us to find a recycled alternative material.

Jute Baskets & Rugs

  • We manufacture Baskets and Rugs from Jute, a fast-growing natural material that absorbs carbon dioxide and releases oxygen much faster than trees.

  • Plus, they are fully biodegradable.

Seagrass Baskets

  • Solid bamboo is a fast-growing plant that does not require the use of pesticides or fertilisers and is harvested from a sustainable supply source.

Cushion Inners

  • Our cushion filler pads are produced in the UK from recycled polyester raw materials. This can include such things as plastic bottle flakes and post-industrial plastic waste.

  • By choosing to manufacture in this way, we are not only preventing new plastics being produced for this purpose, but we are keeping our carbon footprint to a minimum by using a UK supplier.
